What We Offer
At BloomBridge, we are dedicated to empowering youth and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). We partner directly with Texas Home and Community-based Services (HCS) Program Providers, LIDDA Service Coordinators, Case Managers, and Legally Authorized Representatives (LARs) to provide meaningful, goal-driven speech and feeding therapy.
Our clinical goals integrate directly with each individual’s Person-Directed Plan (PDP) and Individual Plan of Care (IPC), ensuring collaborative, compliant, and dignified care.
Our Clinical Focus Areas
Functional Expressive Language & Self-Advocacy
Expanding vocabulary beyond single words or short phrases to foster independent choice-making, clear communication of wants/needs, and everyday self-advocacy.
Pragmatics, Personal Boundaries, & Stranger Safety
Targeting social safety skills, personal space awareness, and emergency communication. We work on building safe, fulfilling connections while establishing clear communication rules around strangers.
AAC & Assistive Technology Assessment
Evaluating and implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)—from visual communication books to high-tech speech-generating apps (e.g., TouchChat, Proloquo2Go).
Dysphagia & Swallowing Safety (Feeding Therapy)
Comprehensive swallowing assessments for oral-motor weakness, chewing deficits, or coughing/choking during meals; safe diet texture modifications; and caregiver/staff training on mealtime pacing, positioning, adaptive utensils, and aspiration precautions.
